Trips to the south-west of the country can be completed in one day from Glasgow, with a journey time of 2-2.5 hours.
From Edinburgh, an overnight stay is recommended as the journey time is closer to 3.5 hours.
We will generally fish the Rhins of Galloway or Machars Peninsula however, if sea conditions in those areas are poor, we may have the option to fish the sea lochs around Oban or even the south-east around St Abbs.
Pick-up and drop-off can potentially be arranged at a fee if required.

Travel to the Outer Hebrides is a small adventure in itself, with a ferry from the mainland required. These ferries generally need to be booked in advance but, if you’re flexible, they can occasionally be booked last-minute. Pollack trips here must be booked as a three-day minimum.
Fishing Lewis and Harris tends to allow “easier” access to marks than the Uists. As the main road on the Uists follows the west-coast, a more arduous walk is required to access the rugged pollack-filled coastline. But this effort to access returns solitude in abundance - just you, eagles and the herds of red deer.
Travelling with myself is a possibility that can be discussed.
