What to Expect

  • Disclaimer: Marks can be discussed and chosen based on physical ability, however walking several kilometres throughout the day will generally be required .

    Standard Itinerary:

    1. Introduction to the gear and safety run-through.

    2. Make our way to first mark and fish for approximately three hours.

    3. Return to cars / food break.

    4. Make our way to the second mark and fish for approximately three further hours before returning.

    A minimum 2-day trip is recommended to capture the potentially best fishing in the dusk and dawn periods.

    1. Mid-tier 9-9ft6” rod with casting rating up to 30-40g (i.e. Shimano Lunamis).

    2. Mid-tier 3000-4000 size Shimano fixed spool reel (i.e. Twinpower).

    3. All lures required for the trip.

    4. Lifejacket / buoyancy aid.

    5. Bottles of water.

    1. Waders (If you don’t own any, we can discuss some options that may not require wading).

    2. Sturdy footwear with good grip for non-wading marks.

    3. Small backpack.

    4. Food for the day.

    5. Suitable clothing for the weather inc. waterproofs.
