Exploring Scotland’s Coasts, Rod in Hand
Saltwater Lure Fishing Experiences
Pollack Fishing Experience
Pollack (Pollachius pollachius), also known as Lythe, are typically deeper-dwelling fish, often found patrolling underwater drop-offs and dense kelp beds. Known for their powerful runs, these hard-fighting fish will dive for cover in an attempt to reach the safety of boulders or thick kelp. Hang on and haul them up fast, fishing for this species from rugged rock ledges can be both exhilarating and infuriating.
Explore remote stretches of coastline to fish for pollack, surrounded by some of the most stunning coastal landscapes in the country.
From the southwest of Scotland to the Outer Hebrides, I offer pollack fishing throughout the country.
Available for day trips to the southwest from Glasgow, or to the northwest from Inverness. For the Outer Hebrides, multi-day trips are required.
From £300 per day.

Bass Fishing Experience
Bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) are opportunistic predators that patrol shallow, rocky bays and beaches. Ranging from just 6 inches to 30 feet in depth, these finely adapted hunters can be caught on lure gear using a variety of techniques, whether under bright sunshine or in the stillness of night.
Chase bass through the estuaries, bays and open coastlines of Scotland’s southwest, where rolling countryside and ancient woodland meets tranquil shores.
The bass fishing experience is offered to travelling anglers only. This approach helps protect the species and preserves the quality of these fishing marks, which are sensitive to angling pressure.
Available for day trips from Glasgow, however overnight stays are recommended to capture the dusk/dawn or night period, when bass fishing can be at its best.
From £300 per day.
